Kritharaki casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g minced meat
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 200 g noodles (kritharaki)
  • salt water
  • some olive oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 pack of sheep’s cheese
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

simple and delicious Kritharaki casserole

First, fry the minced meat and onion in a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook the kritharaki in salted water until al dente. Cut the zucchini and tomatoes into 1 cm thick slices. Transfer the cooked minced meat to a plate and set aside. Then, in the same pan, fry the zucchini and tomato slices in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Prepare a baking dish and first layer half of the kritharaki and the minced meat in the dish. Place tomatoes and zucchini slices on top. Then add crumbled pieces of feta cheese. Then another layer of kritharaki, a layer of minced meat, and the remaining tomato and zucchini slices. Now add the remaining feta cheese to the top of the casserole and bake at 150°C (fan oven) for 20 minutes, until the cheese is lightly browned.
