Kritharaki casserole with minced meat, zucchini and feta cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 liters of broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 500 g noodles (kritharaki)
  • 1 zucchini
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 package of sheep’s cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Combine the broth and tomato paste in a casserole dish and bring to a boil in the oven at 180°C (350°F). Once boiling, add the kritharaki and return to the oven for 45 minutes. During this time, fry a large zucchini and season the minced meat and sear it. After 45 minutes, remove the kritharaki from the oven and mix with the minced meat and zucchini. Sprinkle everything with cheese and return to the oven briefly until the cheese is lightly browned.
