My mom always baked them
Melt the lard and then let it cool slightly! Now knead all the ingredients into a dough. Wrap it in foil and let it rest. The dough will keep in the fridge for a few days, so you don’t need to use it all up right away! Shape the dough into rolls and cut into slices. Bake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. CAUTION: The lard nuts will expand during baking, so don’t put them too close together! Bake at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes. The lard nuts are cooked when they can be moved on the paper, but they will still be soft. They will only harden upon cooling, so don’t be surprised.
