Lard pastries 'Gangene Küchle'

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • Lard for frying
  • 500 g flour
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 20 g yeast
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 75 g margarine
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

a recipe from my grandmother from Bessarabia

Make a smooth yeast dough from the dough ingredients and let it rise. Tear off small pieces of the risen dough, roll them out like carnival cakes, and fry them in boiling fat. This tastes great with roasts and gravy.
