Latte Macchiato

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 ml milk
  • 50 ml water, boiling
  • 1 tsp espresso, instant
  • n. B. Syrup (e.g. caramel syrup)
  • possibly cocoa powder
  • possibly cinnamon powder
  • possibly sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Heat the milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds. In the meantime, boil the water for the espresso (until it just starts to boil). Froth the warm milk with a milk frother (I use a handheld milk frother) and pour it into a glass. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of espresso powder in 50 ml of boiling water and then pour the mixture into the glass – this creates two layers of milk and espresso. Now you can add sugar or syrup as desired. You can decorate the milk foam with cocoa powder; it also tastes very good. In winter, you can add a little cinnamon to the cocoa powder. I always use UHT milk for frothing, as the foam lasts much longer with it.
