Latte macchiato

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 ml coffee (espresso)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Heat up some whole milk. Important: Do not boil it, as this will prevent it from frothing properly. Then froth it up using a milk frother and let it stand for 1-2 minutes so that the foam does not collapse. Then pour the froth and the warm, unfoamed milk into a glass. The amount of unfoamed milk should be roughly the same as the espresso, if possible a little more. Then pour in the espresso very slowly. If you do it too quickly, the espresso will mix with the milk, so be careful! I always use a spoon. The edge of the spoon makes it easy to pour the espresso in, as it doesn’t spill and it goes in slowly. This creates the typical white-brown-white pattern.
