Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g pretzel(s) (lye)
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 ml milk, warm
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 2 kg meat (liver sausage mixture)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • fried onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Cut the pretzels into approximately 1 cm wide slices. Wash the parsley, pat dry, and chop finely. Place the pretzel slices and chopped parsley in a mixing bowl along with the warm milk and eggs and mix everything well. Once the pretzel slices are soaked, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Grease a springform pan or line it with baking paper, pour in the pretzel mixture, and press down. Add the Leberkäse mixture on top and press down. Sprinkle with the fried onions, pressing them down slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 60 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes and a fried egg or salad.
