Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 packs of Leberkäse (slices)
- 2 bell peppers
- 2 onions
- 1 bunch of chives
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt and pepper
- 1 pack of mashed potatoes
- e.g. milk
- n. B. water
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut the Leberkäse into strips, divide each in half and then cut crosswise into strips. Cut the bell peppers into the same strips. Chop the onions and cut the chives into small 1 cm rolls. Sear the Leberkäse in a pan until crispy. Reduce the heat, drain off most of the fat, and place the Leberkäse on one half of the pan. On the other half of the pan, sauté the onions in the fat until translucent, then mix with the Leberkäse. Place the meatloaf back on one half of the pan and cook the bell peppers on the other half, covering the pan with the lid. Mix the bell peppers with the rest of the meatloaf. Finally, season the Leberkäse with mustard, salt, and pepper. Serve with the mashed potatoes, which you have prepared according to the package instructions.
