Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 puff pastry (refrigerated shelf), 275 g
- 1 pack of Leberkäse (thinly sliced sausage), 180 g
- 2 tbsp, heaped mustard (e.g. Löwensenf)
- 5 tbsp, heaped fried onions
- 8 tbsp, heaped Emmental cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Roll out the puff pastry. First, arrange the Leberkäse slices on the dough. Spread the mustard on top and scatter half of the fried onions on top. Place 2 tablespoons of the Emmental cheese on the long side of the puff pastry. Carefully roll up the puff pastry, starting with the cheese side. Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining fried onions and then with the remaining cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Delicious both hot and cold.
