Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg leek(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • Salt (vegetable salt)
  • 1 cup of cream

Instructions

as a side dish to meatballs, bratwurst, etc.

Generously trim away the green parts of the leek, then thoroughly clean the remaining stalks. Halve them lengthwise and cut into thin slices. Heat butter in a large pan and add the vegetables. Cook over moderate heat until the leek is tender. Season with 1-2 teaspoons of vegetable stock, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of vegetable salt, if desired. Finally, add the cup of cream and let it reduce slightly.
