Leftover Casserole

The perfect leftover casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Waxy potatoes
  • 1 kg Mixed minced meat
  • 2 cups Sour cream
  • 1,5 cups Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • 3 Red Paprika
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 2 toes Garlic fresh
  • 200 grams of grated Cheese (any)

Potatoes

  1. Bring the potatoes to the boil and let them cool down.
  2. Fry the minced meat well and crumble it. Wash, core and chop the peppers. Peel and chop the onions. Then peel the garlic cloves and cut into small slices. Season with a little salt and basil.
  3. Add everything to the minced meat and fry until the peppers are still firm to the bite.
  4. Grease a casserole dish well, mix the sour cream and cream well, season with salt, pepper and paprika powder,
  5. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly or slice them. First, layer the potatoes in the baking dish, then spread some of the cream / sour cream.
  6. Then add minced meat and cream potatoes. Finally, top with potatoes, cream and cheese.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180C. Bake the casserole on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. If necessary, cover with a foil. We always have a salad to go with every dish.
  8. The casserole was really delicious.
