- 1 pack of mashed potatoes with a delicate butter flavor and skimmed milk
- 250 ml broth
- 100 g butter (lemon butter)
- 125 g cheese (Gouda), grated
- some mustard (paprika-onion mustard)
- 2 lemons
- 200 ml cream
- some oil (peanut oil)
- 2 eggs
- possibly spice mix (chili-garlic spice)
- Sea salt
- e.g. water, hot
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Season the steaks with sea salt and the spice mix. Sear in a little hot peanut oil in a non-stick pan for just under 1 minute on each side. Then place the steaks in a baking dish. Peel the lemons and slice them thinly (they will then look like wagon wheels). Place two slices on each steak. Mix the broth with the lemon butter and pour over the steaks as a sauce. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. Stir the mashed potato powder into hot water in a saucepan according to the package instructions. Separate the eggs, add the egg yolks to the mash, and mix well with a little mustard and the grated cheese. Beat the egg whites with a little salt until stiff peaks form. Spread the mashed potato mixture evenly in a baking dish and fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Arrange on plates and serve hot.
