Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 cup wild rice, pure
- 2 cups water
- 1 lemon(s)
- 2 handfuls of walnuts
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 1 tbsp oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
1 cup equals 200 ml. Peel and dice the onion and garlic, and sauté in oil. Meanwhile, squeeze the lemon. Add the rice, water, lemon juice, walnuts, salt, and pepper, and simmer for 40 minutes. Add more water if necessary. Serve fresh. It goes wonderfully with fish, for example.
