Lentil soup

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 cans of lentils with soup vegetables
  • 500 g smoked pork (neck)
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 sausages
  • 1 pack of diced ham
  • Fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 21 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 21 hours 15 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Bring about 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the stock cube, potatoes, and smoked pork to the water. Simmer for about 1/2 hour. Remove the meat from the pot. Add the lentils and sausages to the pot. Fry the onions and diced ham in a generous amount of fat (butter or oil) until translucent. Thicken with flour to absorb the fat. Add everything to the pot with the lentils. Finely chop the meat and return it to the pot. Season to taste with vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
