Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 300 g minced beef
- 200 g minced pork
- 1 jar red pepper(s), pickled
- 4 m.-sized onion(s)
- ½ m.-sized garlic bulb(s)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- e.g. salt and pepper
- e.g. dill, chives or parsley
- n. B. sugar
- e.g. lemon juice
- 1 stalk(s) leek

In a large bowl, rub the very finely or twice minced meat well with a wooden spoon until it becomes smooth. Sauté the finely chopped garlic in oil, let it cool, and add it to the meat mixture along with salt, ketchup, mustard, and plenty of pepper. Form sausages about 2 cm thick and 5 cm long, brush lightly with oil, and fry them on the grill or in a little oil in a pan, turning frequently. Cut about 3 cm off the ends of the peppers and insert the cevapcici into them. Cut the remaining peppers into strips and mix them with wafer-thin strips of leek and herbs to make a salad. Season this salad with pepper, salt, sugar, lemon juice, and a little oil. Plate everything together and serve with fresh bread.
