Lettuce with bacon sauce and potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 lettuce(s)
  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 510 ml condensed milk, 7.5%
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 250 g bacon cubes, mildly smoked
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • n. B. Maggi
  • n. B. Pfeffer

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dice the onion and place it in a bowl with the condensed milk. Mix the condensed milk with the vinegar and season with Maggi and pepper if desired. Fry half of the bacon cubes until well-fry and add them to the sauce. Mix the sauce well and let it infuse. Peel and wash the potatoes, quarter or halve them, depending on their size, and cook until tender. In the meantime, tear the lettuce into small pieces and wash it. When the potatoes are ready, fold the lettuce into the sauce and fry the remaining bacon cubes. Scatter these over the lettuce to keep the bacon crispy. Serve the salad with the potatoes.
