Lemon dressing, ideal for all green salads, summer freshness in taste guaranteed
Place the salt, sugar, and citron essence in a bowl with the water (or lemon juice) and mix well. Halve the onion, finely dice one half, and add it to the ingredients in the bowl. Mix well until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Finally, add a tablespoon of sunflower oil. Do not use olive oil. If the dressing seems too sweet or sour, add more sugar. If it’s too bland, add a little more salt. Wash the lettuce or green salad, drain well or spin dry, and add to the bowl with the dressing. Mix everything together and consume immediately. Note: The salad dressing described here only develops its full flavor when all of its ingredients are combined. The acidity of the lemon combined with the sweetness of the sugar and the pungency of the onion creates a unique flavor that the taste buds cannot identify individually, resulting in an unforgettable taste experience. Of course, a fresh lemon can be used instead of the citron essence and water. However, since the acidity varies from fruit to fruit, sugar and salt must be added to taste. If the sauce is too sour or too sweet, it’s always missing sugar. Only when the sweetness and acidity, combined with the spiciness of the onion, are in perfect balance is the balance right. 57 kcal per serving.
