Light pork from the oven

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g lean pork, cut into cubes of about 3 x 3 cm
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 300 ml broth, instant
  • some salt
  • 1 tbsp tandoori masala
  • curry powder
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • n. B. sugar
  • possibly cornstarch or
  • Guar gum or
  • Locust bean gum

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Rub the pork with salt, tandoori spice, and paprika. Slice the onions into wedges and roughly dice the carrots. Place the meat, onions, and carrots in a covered casserole dish with the vegetable stock and close the lid. Place in the oven and braise for 30–45 minutes. Slice the tomato and strip the bell pepper. After 20 minutes, add the meat to the oven. When the cooking time is up, season with salt and, if desired, sugar. Thicken the sauce with starch, guar gum, or locust bean gum, if desired. About 3 per serving. Goes well with rice.
