Light, quick potato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, mainly waxy
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 stalks of thyme
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. pepper, black
  • 200 ml cream (also reduced-fat)
  • 75 g cheese (also reduced-fat, 17% fat), grated
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the potatoes and slice thinly. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Bring the potato slices to a boil in the milk. Add the garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper and simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir frequently, otherwise the milk will burn. Grease a baking dish and pour the potato and milk mixture into it. Pour the cream over the potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (convection oven) for about 40-45 minutes.
