Lightly grilled goat cheese with dates in warm lavender honey

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 60 g goat cheese, semi-hard cheese, 45%
  • 3 dates, dried
  • 3 tbsp blossom honey (wildflower honey)
  • ½ tsp lavender flowers, dried, from the pharmacy

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Starter for one person

Quarter the dates, add them to a small saucepan with the honey, bring to a simmer, and let them soften over low heat. After 3 minutes, add the lavender blossoms and cook for another 3 minutes. Preheat the oven grill. Halve the goat cheese, place it cut-side up on a heatproof plate, and grill until it begins to melt. Immediately scatter the warm honey-dipped dates over the cheese, garnish, and serve.
