quick and super tasty
For the base, sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, add the remaining batter ingredients, mix with a hand mixer (whisk), first briefly on the lowest speed, then for about 2 minutes on the highest speed, smooth the mixture into a springform pan (26cm diameter, greased base) and place the pan on the oven rack. Bake at about 160°C (fan oven, slightly preheated) for about 30-35 minutes. For the topping, drain the pears well in a sieve, reserving the juice. Place the pear halves on the baked base. Mix the custard powder with the sugar, then stir in the egg yolk and all of the pear juice. Bring the milk to a boil, stir in the mixed custard powder and bring to a boil while stirring. Pour the custard onto the pears while still hot and let cool. For the meringue, beat the egg whites with the icing sugar until stiff, fill a piping bag with a perforated nozzle and place wide tufts on the custard until it is completely covered. Place the cake on the oven rack. Bake at approximately 200°C (fan oven, preheated) for about 8 minutes.
