Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 2 ½ dl sugar
  • 1 ½ dl syrup, dark
  • 6 dl wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 handful of licorice, to taste, OR:
  • 200 g chocolate, dried fruits, nuts etc.

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

approx. 50 pieces, simple biscuit that suits every coffee hour

Chop the licorice into small pieces. Knead the remaining ingredients into a dough. Finally, mix in the licorice. Shape the dough into finger-thick rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten the rolls with a fork. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes. Cut the cookies into diagonal pieces while still warm, but let them cool on the baking sheet. Tip: Instead of the licorice, you can also use finely chopped chocolate, dried fruit, or nuts, if desired.
