Long-lasting barbecue sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g tomatoes, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 3 onions, diced
  • 200 g zucchini, diced
  • 2 bell peppers, red + green, diced
  • 1 Pepper
  • Ginger, cayenne pepper, clove(s), 1 pinch each
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 10 grains of white pepper
  • 125 ml vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • 1 pack of preserving aid

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For grilled meat, pasta sauces, as a ketchup substitute

Sauté the vegetables, season, and then cook with vinegar and sugar for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Gently blend with a hand blender until smooth, depending on the desired consistency. Then add the preserving aid. Bring back to a boil and pour into prepared twist-off jars. Add spices to taste.
