Long pasta with tomato butter sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of spaghetti, extra long
  • some oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook pasta in salted water according to the package instructions, adding a little oil as well. For the sauce, wash and chop the tomatoes, and simmer for 5 minutes. Melt the butter. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper. Slowly add the milk and cook until the sauce is creamy. Add the tomatoes and season with cream. Season with basil. Finally, puree the sauce. This tomato butter sauce is best served with spaghetti. Tip: Alternatively, you can also make this sauce with bell peppers and carrots—in this case, use three large tomatoes, one bell pepper, and two carrots.
