Low-calorie clotted cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 500 g whipped cream
  • 500 g Greek yogurt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 18 hours 5 minutes

super easy, makes a good amount

Whisk together the cream and yogurt thoroughly. Fill a baking dish with the mixture. It should be about 3 cm high. Place the baking dish in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 85 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) and bake the whipped cream and yogurt mixture for 12 hours. Then refrigerate the baking dish for at least six hours. The mixture will thicken and can be easily poured into a pretty dish or jar. The clotted cream will have a slightly sour taste. But that’s not a problem with scones and strawberry jam. It contains only half the calories.
