Low-calorie oat rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 180 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 40 ml water
  • 1 egg(s), size M
  • 100 g oat bran
  • 20 g psyllium husks
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 sachet of cream of tartar baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

makes approx. 4 – 6 rolls

Mix the quark with the water in a bowl. Grind the oat bran into flour and add it to the flour with the salt and egg, and mix everything together. Now add the psyllium husks and mix everything quickly. Let the dough rise for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Only add the baking powder to the dough after it has risen and give everything a really quick stir. I find that the rolls rise a little better this way. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread some oat bran on it. Shape the dough into 4-6 rolls (depending on how big you want them) and roll them in the oat bran on the tray. Then score the rolls crosswise about half a centimeter long. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 35 minutes. The rolls will still be rather soft after baking, so let them cool down well; they will firm up as they do so.
