Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 bell peppers, cleaned, cut into cubes
- 1 onion(s), in half rings
- 3 cloves garlic, finely diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil for frying
- 500 g pork strips
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp marjoram
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- salt and pepper
- 200 g crème fraîche
- 200 g sour cream
- 200 g cream
- 150 g cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (convection oven). Heat the oil and sear the minced meat. Add the onion rings and sear them. Add the diced bell peppers, oregano, marjoram, thyme, paprika, coriander, cumin, salt, and pepper and sear well. Finally, briefly sear the garlic. Mix the sour cream, crème fraîche, and cream in a bowl until creamy. Place the gyros in a baking dish and spread the cream on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
