Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 400 g flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- Milk
- possibly powdered sugar
- possibly cheese, grated
- Butter for greasing the waffle iron
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Combine flour, egg yolks, salt, and oil in a bowl and mix with enough milk to form a thick batter. Then fold in the beaten egg whites. Grease the waffle iron with butter and bake the batter into golden-yellow waffles. For sweet waffles, sprinkle thickly with powdered sugar or spread with applesauce. For a savory twist: Before closing the waffle iron, sprinkle grated cheese on the batter. This makes delicious cheese waffles.
