Mac and Cheese with Difference

The perfect mac and cheese with difference recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mussel noodles
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 150 g Butter
  • 60 g Flour
  • 200 g Cheddar
  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch Parsley
  • 200 g Broccoli
  • 200 g Turkey fillet
  1. Rinse the turkey meat, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Fry in oil and season with salt and pepper. Put aside. Boil the pasta in water, but only until just before “al dente”, briefly add the frozen broccoli, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan, then add the flour over a low heat and stir vigorously with the whisk so that no lumps form – gradually add the milk. A sauce should now be created. I do it by feeling (butter / flour / milk) depending on how much sauce I need. If the sauce has become too watery, just raise the temperature and stir – beware, it burns quickly if you are not careful. Then the sauce is seasoned with salt, pepper and parsley. Finally fold in the grated cheddar and let it melt.
  3. Mix the noodles with the broccoli and turkey meat, pour the sauce over it and mix too. The turkey meat is of course optional, instead of broccoli spinach tastes really good 🙂
