Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • Salt
  • 250 g leek
  • 250 g tomato(s) (cocktail tomatoes)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 30 g flour
  • 30 g butter or margarine
  • 450 ml vegetable broth (instant)
  • 50 g double cream cheese with herbs
  • 75 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • black pepper
  • Marjoram and cocktail tomatoes, for garnishing
  • cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook pasta in salted water for about 12 minutes. Slice leek into rings and cook for 5 minutes. Halve tomatoes, dice ham, onions, and garlic. Sauté onions and garlic in hot fat. Dust with flour and deglaze with broth and cream, bring to a boil. Stir in cream cheese and 25g of Gouda cheese, season with salt and pepper. Mix pasta, leek, ham, tomatoes, and sauce, pour into a greased dish, sprinkle with the remaining Gouda cheese, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Garnish with marjoram and tomatoes.
