Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g pasta (macaroni), short
- 2 m.-large carrot(s)
- 14 sausages (Nuremberg bratwurst), approx. 305 g
- 250 g mushrooms
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 pack of Hollandaise sauce, 250 g
- ⅛ liter milk
- 1 slice(s) of toast
- 1 tbsp butter
- chives
- salt and pepper
- Fat, for the casserole dish
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions and drain. Peel the carrots, halve them, and slice them. Cut the sausages into thick slices. Clean the mushrooms and halve them if necessary. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the sausages until golden brown, then remove. Brown the carrots in the hot frying fat, add the mushrooms, and fry for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Mix the hollandaise sauce and milk. Spread half of the pasta in a greased baking dish. Arrange the sausages and vegetables on top. Add the remaining pasta and pour the sauce over it. Finely crumble the toast. Melt the butter, toss the breadcrumbs in it, and spread it over the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven 200°C, fan oven 175°C, gas mark 3) for about 15 minutes. Remove the casserole and sprinkle with chives.
