Macaroni with tuna and red wine sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (macaroni) or pasta of your choice
  • 1 can tuna, marinated in oil
  • 200 g spring onions
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 1 tbsp mixed Italian herbs, dried
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 ml red wine
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • cumin

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Wash and chop the spring onions. Then fry them in the tuna oil. Meanwhile, mix the tomato paste with the cream and then add it to the spring onions. Stir regularly and let it simmer for a few minutes. Season with the Italian herbs. Now add the tuna and pour in the red wine. Peel, press, or chop the garlic, if desired, and then add it to the sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. For a special flavor, add a little cumin from the spice mill. Plate the pasta. Pour the sauce over the pasta, sprinkle with cheese to taste, and serve.
