Madeira Cake

- 200 g Butter
- 200 g Sugar
- 4 medium sized Eggs
- 300 g Flour
- Grated zest of an untreated lemon
- 200 g Whole milk jam
- Preheat the oven to 170 ° C (gas: level 3). Line a loaf pan (20 cm) with baking paper. ° Beat the sugar and butter in a large bowl with a mixer until frothy. Add eggs and stir well ° mix flour with baking powder, sieve onto the dough mixture and stir in evenly. Add the grated lemon zest and stir. ° Bake the cake in the oven for approx. 45-75 minutes (depends on the oven).
