Make Braid Yourself

The perfect make braid yourself recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 x Whisked eggs
  • 10 g Dry yeast
  • 1 x Egg yolk
  • 250 ml Lukewarm water
  • 60 ml Oil
  • 1,5 tsp Salt
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 675 g Flour
  1. Mix the yeast, 1 tbsp sugar and water.
  2. Let stand for 10 minutes until the yeast foams
  3. Mix flour yeast mixture eggs salt sugar and oil
  4. Mix into a smooth dough
  5. Oil a bowl, pour in the dough, cover with a tea towel and let rest for 2 hours
  6. Press the dough down with your fist, flour the work surface and pour the dough on top.
  7. Cut the dough in half and divide the halved dough again into 3 pieces.
  8. Roll out the pieces and make a braid.
  9. Place on the baking paper and let rise for 1 hour. PREHEAT THE OVEN: to 180 degrees.
  10. Mix the egg yolk with a little water
  11. After the hour of walking, brush with egg yolk
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes and enjoy 🙂 Tip: You can also add sugar grains or besam … PS: Let it cool down
