Make Coffee Without a Machine – This Trick Works

Spread the love

Make coffee like great grandma

One option to brew your coffee without a machine is with a coffee filter. You can get the coffee filters made of porcelain as well as metal or plastic.

  • The only thing you need besides the coffee filter is a filter bag, hot water, and coffee.
  • Provide the coffee filter with a filter bag and the coffee and place it on a coffee pot. After that, pour hot water into the coffee filter.
  • You may have to add hot water a few times, but overall the coffee runs through quite quickly. So you don’t have to wait long for your well-deserved cup of coffee.
  • An alternative to the conventional coffee filter is a permanent filter. The permanent filter is not significantly more expensive than the “normal” coffee filter and has the advantage that you no longer need an additional filter bag.

The French Press System – an elegant way of making coffee

  • You need a coffee maker and coarsely ground coffee
  • You put the coffee in the coffee maker, pour hot water over it, and then close the pot with the lid.
  • After the coffee has steeped to your taste, press down the sieve insert and pour the coffee into the cup.
  • The advantage of the French Press System is that you don’t need anything else apart from the coffee. In addition, depending on which model you choose, the coffee stays warm for some time.
  • Tip: If you like espresso, you can conjure it up in no time with an espresso maker.

Emergency solutions for desperate coffee junkies

If you don’t have anything to hand at the moment, apart from the coffee, you can still go puristic. However, the options are not really suitable for connoisseurs, in fact only for desperate caffeine junkies on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

  • If you have a very fine-meshed small strainer, hang it over the coffee cup. Then put a piece of kitchen paper, paper handkerchief, or, if necessary, toilet paper in the sieve and put the ground coffee on it. Pour the hot water over it. As soon as the cup is full, immediately remove the strainer so that the paper does not end up in the cup as well.
  • If you don’t have a sieve, but do have a kitchen funnel and a filter bag, you can also make your coffee with this variant.
  • If you are really die-hard, put the ground coffee straight into the cup and pour hot water over it. With this variant, however, it is better to drink only 70 to 80 percent of the brown brew.
