Make Lemonade Yourself – That’s How it Works

When the weather is sunny and warm, it is best to simply make your own lemonade instead of resorting to supermarket goods. Lemonade is popular and tasty, but the variants of the beverage manufacturers rarely have anything to do with “real” lemonade. Skip artificial sweeteners and make your own fresh lemonade with our tips in this at-home article.

Make lemonade yourself – the perfect refreshment

You are not tied to anything when it comes to the flavor of the lemonade. Depending on what you feel like and which ingredients are in the household, develop your lemonade. In our home tip, we present you with a classic orange lemonade. Below you will find the necessary ingredients and tools.

  • Ingredients: You need two oranges, about 50 grams of sugar, 850 milliliters of water, and ice cubes. Depending on the size of the oranges, you can use more. If you prefer to drink mineral water instead of still water, you can also use mineral water.
  • Tools: To make it you need a cooking pot, a spoon, and a jug, preferably made of glass. You also need a separate container for the squeezed juice. A strainer will help you separate the juice from the pulp.

Make lemonade yourself: Here’s how to do it

  1. First, you need to boil about 100 to 150 milliliters of the original amount of water. Once boiling, add the sugar and stir into the water. Wait until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the sugar water into the glass jug.
  2. Squeeze the oranges into a neutral container. To ensure that you have as little pulp as possible in the lemonade, use a sieve when pouring into the glass jug. This way no cores get into the soda either.
  3. Finally, fill the remaining water into the glass jug. The soda is now placed in the fridge. After a while – usually an hour – take the glass jug out of the fridge and put a few ice cubes in the jug and in the individual glasses. Glasses decorated with orange slices are a special eye-catcher.
  4. Tip: If you find that your lemonade tastes a little bitter, add a little bit of salt. The salt will neutralize the bitter taste. As a precaution, you should proceed slowly and taste again and again.
