You can easily make sorbet yourself without an ice cream maker. You only need a few ingredients for this. You also have the choice between many different varieties.

Make sorbet yourself: simple basic recipe

To make a delicious sorbet, you only need three ingredients: water, sugar, and fruit.

  1. First puree about 400 grams of fruit. Strawberries or raspberries, for example, are ideal for a sorbet.
  2. Then put the water with some sugar in a saucepan and let the mixture boil. Then the sugar water has to simmer for about five minutes to turn it into a syrup.
  3. Now mix the strawberry puree with the syrup and fill the mixture into a container.
  4. Then place the container in the freezer of your fridge and stir the sorbet once every half hour or so. After about five hours it’s done.
  5. Once your sorbet is ready, you can serve it in a bowl.

Peach Sorbet: Delicious low-carb version

For a low-carb peach sorbet, you need 500 grams of peaches, 1 vanilla bean, 1 lemon, 100 milliliters of water, 1 egg white, and 100 grams of xylitol.

  1. First, peel and squeeze the lemon.
  2. Now put the lemon peel and the lemon juice together with the pulp of the vanilla pod in a saucepan.
  3. Fill the pot with water and add the xylitol. Then bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for three minutes. Then sift off the syrup.
  4. Stone the peaches and puree the fruit. You can also strain the peach puree through a fine sieve to avoid fruit chunks in the sorbet. Then add it to the syrup.
  5. Now beat the egg white and add it to the mixture. Then fill this into a container, which has to go into the freezer for about six hours.
