Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 strips of orange peel
  • 4 strips of lemon peel
  • 4 strips of lime zest
  • 600 ml glycerin

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 7 days; Total time approx. 7 days 10 minutes

First, cut four thin, large strips of peel from each citrus fruit and place them in a separate jar. Put the orange peel in one jar, the lemon peel in another, and the lime peel in the third. Pour 200 ml of glycerin into each jar and let it steep for at least a week, preferably three weeks. Then discard the peels and store the flavored glycerin in a tightly sealed container in a dark place. Use about 1 teaspoon of the glycerin for baking flavoring.
