Make Your Own Energy Drink – The Best Tips

Energy drink with cucumber and apples

A fruity drink with a sharp surprise:

  • Ingredients: 6 apples, 2 fresh limes, 1 chili, 1 fresh cucumber, salt, and pepper.
  • First chop the apples, the cucumber, and the chili pepper, and then puree them finely in the blender at the highest level. Season with salt and pepper and then chill.
  • If you like it sweet, you can use less salt and sweeten the drink with a little honey instead.

Energy drink with yogurt and fruit

A real vitamin bomb:

  • Ingredients: 150g yogurt, 2 oranges, 50g raspberries, 1 banana, and 1 packet of vanilla sugar.
  • Peel the oranges and bananas and cut them into small pieces. Put the pieces of fruit in a blender together with the yogurt, raspberries, and vanilla sugar, and puree everything finely. In the end, the mass should be slightly creamy. Pour everything into a glass. The drink tastes best cold.
  • Tip: Put the fruit in the fridge for a few hours before you prepare it, then the drink will be nice and cold afterward and you can enjoy it straight away.
  • If you like it less sweet, leave out the vanilla sugar and use more raspberries.

Energy drink with caffeine and spices

If you don’t want to bother with vitamins, but just want a good dose of caffeine, you should try this recipe:

  • Ingredients: 250 ml non-alcoholic red wine, 1/2 tsp black cumin, 1/2 tsp cardamom, 1/2 tsp anise, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 6 myrtle leaves (alternatively bay leaf), 1 piece of licorice, 4 strands of mace, 1 pc. fresh ginger, zest of an orange, 3-5 teaspoons instant coffee powder, 3 teaspoons dextrose, and 5 teaspoons honey.
  • Put the spices, licorice, mace, orange zest, and pieces of ginger in a saucepan and pour over the red wine. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove and simmer for a few minutes. Then pour through a fine sieve into another container. Add ground coffee, dextrose, and honey and mix well. Drink warm.
  • If you want an even more authentic energy drink feeling, you can get taurine in the pharmacy. The powder is found in most ready-made energy drinks, but it’s also quite expensive. Very little of it is enough for this: You should not use more than a knife tip.
