Sweet enough to eat!

Mix 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Butter a baking dish and dust half of the mixture over it. Then, in a mixing bowl, mix 250g of powdered sugar with the vanilla sugar. Dissolve the gelatine in the water in a saucepan and bring to a boil briefly, stirring constantly. Pour the hot liquid into the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar mixture, adding food coloring if desired, and beat with a mixer until fluffy and firm. Pour into the baking dish and let stand for at least an hour. Then turn out the mixture and dust with the remaining starch and sugar mixture. Cut into cubes and dust the edges as well.
