Making Coffee with a French Press: a Guide

Spread the love

Some coffee lovers swear by the French Press, which is quite simple to use. In the following instructions, we explain how to brew your coffee with a French press and also explain the advantages of such a coffee machine.

That’s why the French Press is so popular

French Press is becoming increasingly popular.

  • If you prepare your coffee with a French press, all components of the coffee, such as the essential oils, remain completely in the drink and are not partially lost in the filter bag.
  • In addition, the coffee tastes unadulterated exclusively like coffee, and any changes in taste caused by filter bags are therefore excluded.
  • Fresh, coarsely ground coffee is ideal for preparation in the French Press.

How to prepare a coffee with the French Press

How to prepare:

  • First, heat the water. Always use a little more water so that you can bring the French Press up to temperature beforehand.
  • After you have heated the French Press, pour away the water and put the coffee powder in the glass jug.
  • Pour the hot water over the coffee powder and stir the coffee powder well so that it is evenly moistened.
  • Then put the lid on with the stamp. If you prefer your coffee to be milder, let it steep for about three minutes, otherwise – depending on how strong you want the coffee to be – correspondingly longer.
  • Finally, press the plunger down to the ground coffee and serve the coffee.
