Malt beer goulash

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g goulash, mixed
  • 2 tbsp germ oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 500 ml meat broth
  • 125 ml malt beer
  • 3 tbsp roux, dark
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway powder
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Brown the goulash in hot oil. Peel the onions, slice them into thin strips, add them, and fry. Add tomato paste, sprinkle with paprika, and sauté briefly. Add the meat broth and malt beer, bring to a boil, and simmer covered over medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours. Stir in the roux and cook for about 1 minute. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, sugar, and caraway seeds, if desired.
