Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 mango(s), ripe and sweet (alternatively 1 small can)
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 3 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • tsp rose water
  • 3 pinches of ground ginger
  • 3 pinches of cardamom
  • 3 pinches of cinnamon
  • 2 pinches of saffron
  • 4 mint leaves
  • Pistachios, kernels, ground

Vaikunthanan’s Mango Lassi Supreme

Peel the mango, cut the flesh from the pit, and place it in a blender. Grind the spices in a mortar and pestle or an electric coffee grinder. Add the yogurt, water, spices, and rose water along with the sugar and blend at medium speed. Pour into glasses and garnish with a mint leaf and ground pistachios.
