Manuela's Apple Tart

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 dough (cake dough), rolled out
  • 4 apples (prefer sweet varieties)
  • 40 g almonds, ground or hazelnuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ dl cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Place the dough in a round baking tray (approx. 3 cm high) and pierce several times with a fork. Sprinkle with hazelnuts or almonds. Cut the peeled apples into small pieces (eighths) and arrange them on the tray in a brick-like pattern. Topping: Whisk the eggs with the remaining ingredients and spread them over the apples. Bake in the center of the oven for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with a little sugar. Tip: Serve with whipped cream. Variation: The apples can be replaced with raspberries, blackberries, plums, or apricots.
