Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 5 eggs, separated
- 250 g icing sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 125 ml oil
- 125 ml water
- 250 g flour
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 shot of rum
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (not instant powder)
- Fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Beat the egg yolks, icing sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until frothy. Slowly stir the oil and water into the egg yolk mixture. Mix the flour with the baking powder. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Alternately fold the flour and egg whites into the egg yolk mixture. Divide the mixture in half. Stir the cocoa powder and rum into one half. Pour both batters alternately into the greased bundt cake pan. Finally, use a long skewer to stir the cake mixture through in circular motions to create a nice marbled texture. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 190°C for approx. 50-60 minutes. Let it cool briefly in the pan, then turn it out.
