Marble Gugelhupf with orange juice

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 180 g sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 320 g flour
  • 80 g cornstarch
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 170 ml orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 orange(s), grated peel
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • Chocolate glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Combine the softened butter and sugar thoroughly. Add the eggs and beat until fluffy. Add the flour mixed with the baking powder, cornstarch, orange zest, and juice, and beat thoroughly. Divide the dough in half, stir the rum and cocoa into one half, pour the light dough into a prepared loaf pan, spread the dark dough over it, and use a fork to create a spiral pattern. Place in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) and bake for approximately 45-50 minutes (test with a toothpick). Cover the cooled loaf with chocolate glaze.
