Marinated Homemade Gyros with Garlic Sauce

The perfect marinated homemade gyros with garlic sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Pork schnitzel
  • 2 piece Roughly chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0,5 piece Fresh, finely chopped peppers
  • 1 piece Garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Paprika pulp (Ajvar)
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 pinch Sea salt from the mill
  • 1 piece Marinade
  • 3 tbsp Own production of chilli and garlic oil
  • 1 tsp Rose paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Fresh fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Painted rosemary needles
  • 1 pinch Coarse sea salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 piece Diced vegetable onions
  • 1 piece Garlic sauce see my KB, http://www./rezept/445748/Knoblauchsauce-nach-Omas-Art-mit-Beilagen.html
  1. Cut the schnitzel into strips. Mix the spices with the diced vegetable onions and stir in the oil. Add the meat, mix everything well and let it steep in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  2. Take the gyros out of the fridge 1 hour before frying and mix in the coarsely chopped onions.
  3. Now fry the gyros until crispy, add peppers and garlic and fry briefly. If you like, you can add some pepper and salt. Then stir in the paprika pulp and tomato paste and roast with it.
  4. There was also one of my favorite garlic sauces with extra garlic from our own production and coleslaw homemade by the butcher I trust.
