Marinated strawberries with martini

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g strawberries
  • 2 cl vermouth (Martini), more to taste
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • Sugar
  • whipped cream
  • mint

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash and hull the strawberries, then quarter them. Halve any small ones. Sprinkle with sugar; the amount depends on the aroma and sweetness of the fruit and your personal taste. Mix in the lemon juice and let it steep until juice has formed. Then stir in the martini. Divide the strawberries between small bowls or tall, wide glasses (e.g., a Berliner Weisse glass). Whip the cream (amount as desired) until stiff peaks form and top with the cream. Garnish with mint, if desired. Note: Season the strawberries to your liking, including the lemon juice and vermouth.
