Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 large cucumber(s)
- Salt
- 1 small onion(s), red
- 1 tbsp vinegar (raspberry vinegar)
- 6 tbsp cream
- some pepper, ground
- some sugar
- possibly salt
- ½ bunch of dill
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
a simple cucumber salad like I remember it from my childhood
Peel the cucumber and slice or grate it thinly. Lightly salt it, knead it thoroughly, and let it stand for about 15 minutes. Drain the resulting liquid. Finely dice the red onion and add it to the cucumber along with the raspberry vinegar and cream. Season with a little ground pepper, sugar, and a little more salt, if desired. Finely chop the dill and add it to the remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly and let it stand in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
