Marshmallow quark with cherries

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 10 large chocolate kisses
  • 1 kg quark (20% fat)
  • 1 jar cherry(s), sweet or morello cherries
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar, to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Drain the cherries, reserving the juice. Whisk the quark with a little juice (about 100 ml to start with) until smooth, adding more to taste. Remove the wafers from the marshmallows, add the wafers to the quark, and whisk until smooth. Stir in the cherries. Sweeten to taste with sugar or vanilla sugar—I used 2 packets of vanilla sugar, but it’s not necessary. Refrigerate the dessert. Serve the waffles separately or eat them all.
